Dr. Katie Dischler
Dr. Katie Dischler, has been a steadfast figure in the Omaha healthcare community since 2011 and took ownership of Nebraska Family Chiropractic & Acupuncture in July 2019. She’s not just a chiropractor; she’s an integral part of many families’ healthcare routines and an advocate for holistic wellness.
Her journey began as a Division II college volleyball player, where her love for sports dovetailed with a growing fascination for human anatomy. After taking her first anatomy course at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences, she was captivated by the body’s intricate design and immense capabilities. These studies, alongside her hands-on experience shadowing a chiropractor, made her realize the innate power of chiropractic care – it facilitates the body’s natural ability to heal itself by removing interferences and promoting alignment. This revelation marked the start of her dedicated path to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Katie went on to attend Logan University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, a Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation, and ultimately, her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree. She is National Board Certified in Acupuncture and is a Certified KinesioTaping Practitioner. Additionally, she is a proud member of the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association, reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of patient care.
Her practice philosophy mirrors her educational background and athletic history. She employs a diverse range of techniques, including Diversified, Activator, Thompson Drop Table, and Flexion-Distraction, all tailored to meet the unique needs of her patients. Whether she’s treating an athlete aiming for peak performance or a pregnant mom seeking comfort and wellness, Dr. Katie’s goal remains the same: to enable each patient to function at their fullest and feel their absolute best.
Dr. Katie’s passion for helping others isn’t just a professional trait; it’s a personal commitment. When not in her clinic, she cherishes time with her husband, with whom she moved to Omaha after graduating, and their three wonderful children. An active family life, filled with bike rides, sports, and outdoor adventures, keeps her grounded and continually reinforces her understanding of the profound impact that health and wellness have on family life.
